Dr. Anthony Perrino received his Bachelor of Science degree from Fairleigh Dickson University in 1980. He then went on to earn his D.D.S. degree from New York University College of Dentistry in 1984. Dr. Perrino completed a year-long hospital residency program for advanced training.
Dr. Perrino has been practicing since 1984. He has completed a number of post-graduate training courses in advanced dentistry. Some of these courses have been in advanced restorative and cosmetic dentistry, root canal therapy and laser dentistry. He has taken courses at the prestigious Dawson Dental Training Courses.
Dr. Perrino is a member of the American Dental Association, the North Carolina Dental Society, the Academy of General dentistry as well as the New York State Dental Society.
Robin Beasley, a registered dental hygienist, has worked with Dr. Perrino since March 2005. Robin is in charge of taking X-rays, cleaning and polishing teeth and assisting Dr. Perrino during appointments. She is married to her wonderful husband Mark and has two children. Her hobbies and interests include cruising the Caribbean, exercising and spending time with her children. She is also an active member of the North Mecklenburg Booster Club.
Katie Romano has been a dental hygienist since 2008 and joined our team in June 2011. As one of our hygienists, Katie is responsible for cleaning and polishing teeth, giving tips on good oral hygiene and assisting Dr. Perrino during examinations and treatments. Katie enjoys cooking, traveling and exploring the great outdoors with her two beagles Daisy and Macie.
Leslie Cowles is our office manager and has worked with Dr. Perrino since February 2009. Leslie is the first person you will meet when visiting our office and she will assist you with scheduling appointments and financial arrangements. When she is not working, she enjoys shopping, going to the movies and spending time with her son, husband and dog Cooper.
Raquel Nassar, our insurance coordinator, was born and raised in Texas and moved to Charlotte in 1989. She started working with Dr. Perrino in August 2010. Raquel handles accounts receivable and is the liaison between the office and your insurance company to ensure your claim is properly billed. In her spare time she enjoys baking cakes, taking pictures and spending time with her family.
Dorothea Young has been a certified dental assistant since 1992 and a licensed massage therapist since 1998. She moved to the Charlotte area from Long Island in 2006. Dorothea is responsible for making you as comfortable as possible during your appointment through massage therapy techniques, if you so choose. She also assists Dr. Perrino during treatments. In her time away from of the office she enjoys cooking and spending time with her two children, two bulldogs and husband.
Carolyn Livingston, our hygiene assistant, has worked with Dr. Perrino since June 2010. Her role in the office is to help our hygienists with a variety of duties such taking X-rays, sitting chair side during preventive and periodontal procedures, as well as updating patient records. Her interests are fashion and staying fit. She is married and has a son. Her family also includes a cocker spaniel named Shadow and a Shih Tzu named MJ.
Iman Al-Qolaq has been a certified dental assistant since 2001 and has worked with Dr. Perrino since 2006. She was born in Kuwait and grew up in Charlotte. She has a wonderful husband and two children. When she is not assisting Dr. Perrino, she enjoys traveling and spending time with her family and her six other siblings.
